In 1990 a deserted structure that had previously served as a general store, a timber consultant's office, and a real estate office became the filming location for "Fried Green Tomatoes." This building, prominently featured as "The Whistle Stop Cafe," took on a significant role in the movie. Following the filming, Robert Williams, who inherited the building, chose to transform it into an actual cafe. Teaming up with his friend Jerie Lynn Williams, they established the "Original Whistle Stop Cafe." (Submitted by Michele Brown)
