St. Simons Island Lighthouse

Located on the southern tip of St. Simons Island this lighthouse guides ships into the sound. It is one of five surviving lighthouses in Georgia and is one of the only operational facilities that allows visitors to ascend the 129 steps to the top of the observation tower.
