Amerson River Park

Saves: 69
Check-ins: 9
180 acres of Georgia forest, meadows, and wetlands are surrounded by the Ocmulgee River. It closed after a flood in 1994 devastated the area and remained closed for more than 20 years. It finally reopened to the tune of $5.5 million. Beautiful paved trails and playgrounds, colorful birds, and river activities are some of the attractions here. You can bring your own float to enjoy the river for free or rent one for a nominal fee. (Submitted by Ana C)
