The Howey Mansion

Saves: 22
Check-ins: 3
This stately mansion designed by architect Katharine Budd in the 1920s was abandoned around 2005. It was the residence of the Howey family who made their fortune in the early days of Florida's citrus industry. Through the decades it passed through a couple of different owners before the 2005 foreclosure. Recognized as a historical landmark, the mansion has been bought and is currently undergoing renovations to turn it into a museum and event venue. (Submitted by Vivian Orozco)
