African Cemetery

The African Cemetery in Key West, FL is a historic burial ground that dates back to the mid-19th century. It's located in the southern part of the island and is believed to be the final resting place of hundreds of African men, women, and children who were brought to Key West during the era of slavery. The cemetery was discovered in 2002 during a construction project and has since been preserved as a historic site.
