This colorful complex of buildings constructed in charming geometric shapes is home to children and adults with severe intellectual disabilities. Founded in 1959 by parents of a child with Down Syndrome, this facility has made its mission to support disabled people and their families and to educate the public about people with intellectual disabilities. St. Coletta's unique design was created by architect Michael Graves and meant to convey a fun-loving atmosphere where people are treated as friends, not patients.
