Capitol Stones

It may look like a pile of rubble but these stones are historic. These pieces were removed from the nation's capitol building in the 1950s in favor of Georgia marble. The sandstone blocks date back to when the building was first constructed in the 1790s. They are an unofficial landmark where people can visit freely as long as they tread carefully.
