Description:

To see how automobile traffic was controlled in the 1920s, head to Meriden, CT. Amazingly, a real human being had to climb up to the tower and manually switch the lights. Even though modern-day automated traffic lights now signal cars to go, stop, or slow down, this tower remains as a beloved artifact of a bygone era.
