Snedeker House

This was the site one of the biggest haunting hoaxes in modern history. The unobtrusive house was once a mortuary, and the Snedeker family, after moving here in 1986, found all kinds of funeral home paraphernalia. Hence, came the reports of violent ghost attacks. Then the book and movie "A Haunting in Connecticut." Although the house is not open to the public, you can catch a glimpse of the exterior but you might be disappointed that it's not really haunted.
