Great Sand Dunes

Looking completely out of place is probably the attraction of these sand dunes. Their stark desert beauty is more appropriate for the Sahara but for the odd juxtaposition against snow-capped Colorado mountains. This is one of the few places in Colorado where you can go sledding in summer wearing only a shirt and shorts.
