Abandon Crystal Mill

Made of timber with a backdrop of Colorado snow-capped mountains and framed by a thick forest of evergreens, the abandoned Crystal Mill is a postcard-perfect setting. Foamy rushing waters surrounding the 1892 mill complete this romantic picture. The mill is on private property but you can get perfect camera shots from across the river. It isn't easy to get here - you have to have a heavy-duty vehicle with 4WD or you have to hike an 8-mile loop. Fortunately, there are also paid tours that will take you out to the mill by jeep.
