Located in downtown Redlands’ Ed Hales Park, the Sister Cities Clock is a unique public art sculpture that celebrates the city’s international friendships with Hino, Japan; San Miguel de Allende, Mexico; and Linli, China. Installed in 2019, the clock features three timepieces displaying the current time in each sister city, along with a fascinating rolling-ball kinetic mechanism that comes to life every hour. Designed by artists Dan and Dina Romero, the sculpture serves as both a striking landmark and a symbol of cultural connection, education, and global goodwill.
