UPDATE: You now need a permit to shoot photos in the redwood grove. Visit ocparks.com for more info. SoCal residents don't have to travel to Northern California to see the redwood trees - you only have to get to Orange County. This 10-acre park consists of planted redwoods. Although they are only babies in terms of the lifespan of a redwood, they already tower over the tallest human. You can take a stroll through the grove or explore more of the Carbon Canyon Park. There are picnic pavilions, tennis courts, and a fishing pond for everyone and their dogs to enjoy. (submitted by Melanie Kim)
