Foster Park Bowl

Los Angeles may be the epicenter of Southern California but Ventura County is where the idea of a county park system was conceived. Foster Park Bowl was one of the results of this philanthropic idea and was opened in 1904. The concrete amphitheater was very popular in the '60s but now sits abandoned waiting for rescuers, funds, and permits in order to revive it (submitted by Aidan McNutt).
