Description:
Font's Point is one of Anza-Borrego’s most jaw-dropping overlooks, perched above a maze of wind-carved badlands near Borrego Springs, California. Reaching the viewpoint requires a rugged 4-mile dirt road drive, best tackled with high clearance, which only adds to the sense of adventure. From the edge, the layered cliffs and deep gullies stretch to the horizon, earning it the nickname “California’s Grand Canyon.” Sunrise and sunset are especially magical, when shifting light paints the desert in dramatic colors.
