A local favorite trailhead, Del Cerro park offers gorgeous views of Catalina, Portuguese Bend, and the expansive shimmering Pacific Ocean. The park is situated at the southernmost tippy top of Crenshaw Blvd. in Rancho Palos Verdes and is the the former home of CA missile site #55. Hiking trails lead to the Portuguese Bend Nature Reserve and start with a descent versus a climb. Take a gander at the impressive neighborhoods on your way to this secluded spot. Kindly be aware that as of 2023, parking on Crenshaw Blvd and at Del Cerro Park requires a parking reservation, which comes with a fee of $10.35 for a duration of 2 hours and 45 minutes. These reservations must be made at least one hour prior to your visit through rpvca.gov/parkmobile. Alternatively, if you’d like to save a few bucks, parking on Crest Road and walking the extra 0.4 miles is still free.
