Whittington Park Historic Marker

Placed in 2012, this marker is denotes the importance of baseball in this small community. Whittington was established in 1897 and was a bustling town until 1914. The popularity of baseball gave the town a couple more good decades - an epicenter of the sport in Hot Springs until 1942.
