Description:
The Buckstaff Bathhouse in Hot Springs, Arkansas, opened in 1912 and was established by brothers George and Milo Buckstaff as part of the city’s booming spa culture tied to its famed thermal springs. It was designed in a Spanish Colonial Revival style and quickly became known for traditional hydrotherapy and mineral baths drawn from the natural hot springs. Unlike most of the other bathhouses on Bathhouse Row, the Buckstaff has remained in continuous operation since its opening, preserving early-20th-century bathing traditions and making it one of the best-preserved historic spas in Hot Springs National Park.
