Picture Canyon

Picture Canyon Natural and Cultural Preserve in Flagstaff, Arizona is a 478-acre site that blends rich ecological diversity with significant cultural history. Managed by the City of Flagstaff, the preserve features habitats like riparian areas, grasslands, and pine forests, supporting various wildlife and plant species. It's renowned for its ancient petroglyphs and archaeological remnants from the Northern Sinagua people, who lived there from 700 to 1300 AD. The area offers recreational activities such as hiking, bird watching, and photography, with conservation efforts in place to protect its natural and cultural resources.
