Description:

If you're entering from the South Rim of the Grand Canyon, Mather Point will be your first glimpse of the great void in the earth. An observation area with a guardrail allows visitors to scan the abyss below from a place of relative safety. However, smartphones have been lost to the canyon - be cautious when taking photos! Take Desert View Drive to South Entrance Rd. which will lead you to the Visitor Center and the parking lot.
