The South Rim of the Grand Canyon is the most visited side of the Canyon because it's the most accessible, attracting over 5 million visitors a year. The North Rim (close to the Utah Border) requires a bit more effort to visit as it is in a more remote location. Less visitors make it there (it requires a 4-hour drive) as it's open only from May 15 through October 15 each year. The North rim offers some incredible views however, as well as some awesome day hikes! The East end of the canyon is really under appreciated. Here you'll see the Little Colorado River Tribal Park which is on the Navajo Nation and don't forget to check out the view down into the Little Colorado River from the main parking lot - a breathtaking sight! Located on the Grand Canyon West side is the Grand Canyon Skywalk - another site that shouldn't be overlooked.
