End of the Alaska Highway

Just outside the Delta Junction Visitors Center, there stands a substantial milepost commemorating the end point of the Alaska Highway, denoting it as Mile 1,422. As indicated by this milepost, Prudhoe Bay is a mere 599 miles to the north, while Anchorage lies 342 miles to the south. (Submitted by Brian Good)
