Description:

Priester's Pecans in Fort Deposit, Alabama began in 1935 when Lee C. Priester started selling paper shell pecans from his Texaco gas station, later partnering with Hense Reynolds Ellis as the business expanded into cracking, shelling, and candy making. Over the decades it grew into a beloved roadside stop, eventually moving to a larger storefront near Interstate 65 and rebuilding after a fire in 1996. Today Priester's is known for Southern pecan treats like pralines, pecan brittle, chocolate caramel pecan fiddlesticks, pecan pie, and a wide variety of candied and chocolate covered pecans that draw travelers from all over.
