Description:

The Pink Pony Pub in Gulf Shores, Alabama, traces its roots back to the 1950s when the building began life as part of the Calloway family’s Seahorse Cottages. In 1956 the Mernik family purchased the structure and converted it into the Pink Pony Pub, giving it its now-famous bubble gum pink exterior. Over the decades the pub has weathered hurricanes, resort development, and major changes along the shoreline, yet it continues to operate as a beloved neighborhood beach bar. Its bright colors, coastal charm, and long history make it a true Gulf Shores icon.
