Description:

Mama Zelda’s Hair by Thomas Dambo is the centerpiece of the Huntsville Botanical Garden’s whimsical Mother Earth Troll Garden, a larger-than-life sculpture that blends art, nature, and sustainability into a storybook-like experience. Seated peacefully among winding paths, Mama Zelda stands nearly 20 feet tall with living, planted “hair” of native vines and flowers that grows over time, inviting visitors to explore and connect with the landscape. Crafted from recycled and salvaged materials, this enchanting installation highlights environmental stewardship while sparking curiosity and delight in visitors of all ages.
