Haunted St James Hotel

Rumored to be one of the most haunted places in Alabama this hotel was built in 1837. Today it is apparently still in operation with elegant French antiques furnishing its interior. The hotel was originally known as The Brantley and Jesse James is said to have stayed here with his girlfriend Lucinda. If you happen to smell lavender while roaming the corridors, you might just be in the presence of Lucinda who was known to love the delicate scent.
