Cleo’s Ferry Museum and Nature Trail

Saves: 7
Check-ins: 1
Dr. Samuel Swayne and his wife Cleo bought this parcel of land and built several structures as part of their home in the early 1900s. It was an old ferry port, built in the 1860s and well-preserved. After her husband's death, Cleo started her own tradition, making the property into a work of art starting off with cute and creative bird houses. Bronze sculptures and a graveyard completed the collection. There are chickens and peacocks that can be fed by visitors. During the warmer months Cleo's is open from 8 to 7; check the Facebook page for current info. There is no cost to visit, but donations are welcome. You'll want to bring money to purchase food for the birds. (Submitted by Nimra Mehmood)
